Look no further, we have an exciting opportunity in our HR department at Echo-U.

This role requires a HR generalist approach so your tasks will not be limited to a specific area of HR, this means you will be required to provide administrative support in all HR areas include Absence Management, Employee Relations, Law and Legislative compliance and workforce management.

The nature of the industry that we work in requires the HR department to remain dynamic and able to respond to the fast-paced changing needs of the business, this will require a high level of time management and organisational skills in order to ensure tasks are completed and prioritised as needed. The HR Officer and Manager will work closely with the HR Administrator in ensuring the business needs are understood and that tasks are priorities as needed.

Although you would work directly with the HR Officer and Manager you will also need to develop strong working relationships with other key HR stakeholders at a middle management level in order to provide front line advice and administrative support (when directed to do so by the HR Manager) this will include Payroll, Resource Planning and Operational Management.

The role requires flexibility in working hours in order to meet the changing needs of the business. As a member of the HR team, it is imperative that your work ethic, presentation and behaviour represents what we look for from other employees in order to role model.

Main duties will include:

  • Processing new starters, leavers and transfers and completing all administrative tasks required for this
  • Drafting contracts and addendums
  • Maintaining the People HR system to ensure employee records are accurate and up to date
  • Monitoring the HR email Inbox, replying to queries in a timely fashion and where applicable in line with company policy
  • Provide first line advice and support on HR related matters to management and where required escalate matters to the HR Officer or Manager
  • Where required escalating more complex HR queries to the HR Officer or HR Manager
  • Drafting documentation such as letters and correspondence
  • Prepare and deliver a weekly report on changes within the workforce that will affect payroll and work with the payroll department team to ensure our systems correlate
  • Support the operations team with the arranging of formal meetings e.g. providing advice on invite letters, preparing for a meeting and understanding what is required from the meeting
  • Monitor the use of People HR and provide support and guidance to employees on this system e.g. in recording absence, holiday and saving documentation
  • Have a strong and maintained understanding of HR process' and company policies/procedures

Advertised salary based on 37.5 to 40 hours per week. Working hours will generally be working between 8:30am to 6pm Monday to Friday, however, flexibility is essential as we are a client-driven company and there may be a requirement to work weekends and bank holidays.
