Job Description

Adalta Development Ltd. are an established Management training company based in the North West, currently recruiting for a Leadership and Management Apprenticeship Assessor/Coach to join their organisation. You must be willing to travel when required and overnight stays may be required as the role will require face-to-face meetings with Apprentices, employers and/or Adalta. The successful candidate will be based from home, live in the North West, and will require regular, remote contact with apprentices, employers and Adalta via telephone and video conferencing.

As an Apprenticeship Assessor/Coach, you will be responsible for apprentice progress, retention and attainment. Your role requires you to carry out the following duties in the context of Adalta’s policies and practices, particularly in relation to Safeguarding, PREVENT, British Values, Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety and Data Protection, and those of any host organisations, including informing apprentices of their obligations:

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with the rules and regulations set out by Adalta and/or regulatory organisations.

  • Train, coach and assess apprentices in Management (Level 5) and Team Leading (Level 3), including development of maths and English skills.

  • Follow assessment plans in line with the programme syllabus

  • Develop individual learning plans (ILPs) for apprentices

  • Identify and deal appropriately with individual learning, welfare and support needs in line with Adalta’s policies and procedures

  • identify opportunities for development and progression to further learning and/or employment

  • Plan learning activities that stretch capability and ensure apprentices make good progress against their starting points

  • Ensure that work is robustly assessed and marked in a timely fashion and learners are regularly given written and verbal feedback on their progress which inspires high levels of attainment

  • Plan additional learning tasks to meet individual needs and produce qualitative work-based evidence

  • Ensure apprentices fulfil the off-the-job learning requirement

  • Use OneFile e-portfolio system

  • Collaborate with Adalta, employers and line managers as required to ensure the apprentice is fully supported to progress and succeed

  • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits, coaching, assessment and progress reviews are conducted.

  • Work to learner review and completion timescales

  • Provide regular updates on apprentice progress and performance

Essential Criteria:

  • GCSE Maths and English (grade A-C preferred)

  • teaching/assessing experience (3 years preferred)

  • Recognised Assessor award: D32/D33, A1, TAQA or CAVA

  • Qualified to a minimum of Level 5

  • At least 3 years’ experience of assessing professional management qualifications up to L5

  • Must hold strong occupational management experience at middle/senior level

  • Full driving licence and own vehicle, must be flexible with travel

  • Home work space

Preferred Criteria but not essential

  • Knowledge of OneFile ePortfolio system

  • PTLLS or DTTLS, Certificate of Education or PGCE qualification

  • Must be comfortable with, and have experience of group based training and delivery

  • Experience of delivering Apprenticeships in Management to level 5
