Duration of booking: Expected to be up to the end of February 2022 and maybe longer

Pay Rates: £10.09 Paye inclusive of holiday pay per hour

Working Days and Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm

Primarily it will be providing administration support for the breast screening service and would include answering the phones and making screening appointments via NBSS and any other general clinic administration duties.

Job Summary

To deliver and maintain a professional administration and reception service to our client and to all its users patients, relatives and colleagues.

Key Duties

  • Input information on Trust systems including the NBSS system
  • Book appointments, transport and referrals
  • Receive and respond to emails for a range of requests
  • Register, update all patient information accurately ensure data compliance
  • Scanning- Patient information into EPIC
  • Ensure all tests requested are booked
  • Input information on Trust systems
  • Deal with all telephone enquiries internal and external in a calm, professional, courteous and timely manner redirecting calls as appropriate
  • Attend meetings as required, taking and preparing notes
  • Carry out any other duties which may be required and are consistent with the responsibilities of the banding
  • To deliver and maintain a professional administration and clerical and reception service to patients, relatives, colleagues and Trust Staff
  • Greet visitors to the Unit face to face and respond to requests for a range of information

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience of working in a busy office environment or reception role
  • Experience of prioritising, planning and organising own tasks
  • Working with guidelines
  • Experience of customer service or dealing with the public
  • Data entry
  • Experience of IT packages - Microsoft Office
  • Understanding of confidentiality and data protection
  • Understanding of customer service
